Description
Strawberry Goat Cheese Bruschetta is a delicious and simple appetizer that combines fresh strawberries, herbed goat cheese, basil, and balsamic glaze on crispy toasted bread. It’s a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors, ideal for summer gatherings or as a light snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (454g) fresh strawberries, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 8 ounces (227g) French bread slices or French baguette, sliced into ¾” slices
- Olive oil for brushing
- 8 ounces (227g) goat cheese, softened
- Balsamic glaze, as needed
Instructions
- Chop the strawberries and basil leaves into small pieces and combine them in a medium-sized bowl. Stir to mix and set aside.
- Preheat your oven or air fryer to 350ºF (177ºC). Brush the French bread slices with olive oil on both sides and toast them until golden brown and crispy. This can be done on a cast-iron grill pan, oven, or air fryer.
- Once the bread is toasted, spread a generous amount of softened goat cheese on each slice.
- Spoon the strawberry and basil mixture onto each slice of bread.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve immediately.
Notes
- To maintain the crispiness of the bread, serve the bruschetta immediately after assembling.
- If preparing ahead of time, store the strawberry and basil mixture in the refrigerator, but assemble the bruschetta just before serving.
- You can substitute the goat cheese with cream cheese or another soft cheese of your preference.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes on top before serving.
