Description

This light and fluffy strawberry mousse is an easy and quick dessert made with simple ingredients like cream cheese or coconut cream, strawberries, and powdered sugar. Perfect for any occasion, it’s light yet indulgent with a creamy texture that will leave everyone asking for more.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese or coconut cream
  • 4 oz yogurt or additional cream cheese or coconut cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar or sugar-free alternative
  • 5 medium-size strawberries
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste


Instructions

  1. If using cream cheese, let it come to room temperature. Or, if using coconut cream, open the can to make sure its contents are thick and creamy.
  2. Remove the stems from the strawberries and blend or mash them until fully pureed.
  3. In a food processor or blender, combine the pureed strawberries, cream cheese (or coconut cream), yogurt, and powdered sugar (or sweetener).
  4. Blend everything together until smooth. If using a hand mixer, whip until stiff peaks form.
  5. Transfer the mousse into individual serving cups or bowls.
  6. Refrigerate the mousse for at least an hour to allow it to thicken and chill.

Notes

  • If the mousse turns out too thin, try whipping it with a hand mixer or food processor to incorporate more air.
  • Avoid over-mixing to prevent the mousse from becoming watery. Stop mixing when soft peaks form.
  • For a dairy-free option, use coconut cream instead of cream cheese.
  • The mousse will thicken as it chills in the refrigerator.
