Description

This strawberry sorbet recipe is a refreshing and healthy dessert made with just three simple ingredients. It’s vegan, dairy-free, and low in calories, making it the perfect treat for those looking for a light, fruity dessert. Whether you’re craving something cool during summer or just need a quick dessert, this easy strawberry sorbet is sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups strawberries (360g)
  • 1/4 cup sweetener of choice (maple syrup, white sugar, xylitol, etc.)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice or zest of 1 lemon
  • Optional pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Freeze the berries if they are not already frozen.
  2. If using a high-speed blender, blend the frozen berries with sweetener and lemon juice/zest until smooth. If using a regular blender, let the berries thaw slightly before blending.
  3. If desired, transfer the mixture to an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for a firmer texture.
  4. Scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and serve immediately, or freeze for a firmer consistency.

Notes

  • If you don’t have an ice cream machine, use a high-speed blender to achieve a creamy consistency.
  • Adjust sweetness based on the ripeness of your strawberries.
  • For flavor variations, try swapping some of the strawberries with other berries like raspberries or blueberries.
  • For a creamier texture, add coconut milk or blend in a banana.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 months in the freezer. Allow to thaw slightly before serving.
