Description

Stuffed Pepperoni Pizza Waffles are a fun, family-friendly twist on traditional pizza. Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, these handheld waffles are filled with mozzarella and pepperoni, then cooked to golden perfection in a waffle iron. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a snack, they’re easy to make and pair beautifully with marinara or ranch dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 recipe pizza dough or 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 32 slices pepperoni, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce, for dipping
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing, for dipping
  • Nonstick spray, for greasing waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease with nonstick spray.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  3. Cut the dough into equal-sized squares, approximately 3 x 3 inches.
  4. Place sliced mozzarella cheese and pepperoni pieces in the center of one dough square.
  5. Cover with a second dough square and press down firmly around the edges to seal.
  6. Place the prepared dough pocket into the hot waffle iron. Close the lid gently, pressing firmly but not locking it.
  7. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown and the dough is fully cooked through.
  8. Remove from the waffle iron and repeat with remaining dough and fillings.
  9. Serve hot with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • Do not overstuff the waffles to prevent excessive cheese leakage.
  • Test the first waffle for doneness before cooking the rest; cooking times vary by waffle iron.
  • If using crescent rolls, you may skip the nonstick spray since they contain butter.
  • Experiment with fillings like vegetables, different cheeses, or cooked meats for variations.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in a toaster oven or air fryer for a crisp finish.
