These easy stuffed pizza rolls are filled with gooey mozzarella and savory toppings, wrapped in soft dough and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for beginners and ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 frozen rolls
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup cooked sausage or pepperoni
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Thaw the frozen rolls at room temperature for about 2 hours or microwave them using 30-second intervals, flipping once, until soft but not risen.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten each dough ball into a 3-inch circle using your fingers or a rolling pin.
- Place 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella and about the same amount of pepperoni or sausage in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold the edges of the dough around the filling and pinch to seal, then place seam-side down on the baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over each roll, then bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Don’t overfill the rolls to avoid leaking during baking.
- Use biscuit dough or pizza dough as alternatives to frozen rolls.
- Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best texture.
- Customize with different fillings like mushrooms, peppers, or ham.
- Great for prepping ahead; assemble and chill up to 24 hours before baking.
