Description

Tahini honey toast is a simple yet flavorful breakfast that brings together the creamy richness of tahini and the natural sweetness of honey, making it a perfect combination of heart-healthy fats, plant protein, and essential minerals. It’s a quick and satisfying meal that can be enjoyed any time of the day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces of wholegrain bread
  • 2 tablespoons hulled tahini
  • 2 teaspoons runny honey
  • Pinch of sesame seeds
  • Light pinch of sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread to your desired level of crispiness, whether lightly toasted or golden brown.
  2. Stir the tahini well to ensure it’s smooth. Spread it evenly on each slice of toast.
  3. Drizzle the honey evenly over the tahini using a teaspoon. Zigzag the honey back and forth across the toast.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds on top and finish with a light sprinkle of sea salt flakes.

Notes

  • Stir the tahini well before use as it can separate over time.
  • If your tahini is too thick, add a splash of warm water to loosen it up.
  • If your honey is too thick, warm it up slightly before drizzling to achieve a smooth texture.
  • Use a light hand when adding the sea salt to balance the sweetness without making the toast overly salty.
