Description

This creamy, cheesy TikTok Spaghetti combines layers of rich red sauce, velvety Alfredo, and melted mozzarella for the ultimate baked spaghetti experience. A quick, family-friendly comfort meal that’s easy to make and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Red Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • ½ cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ (24-ounce) jars spaghetti sauce

For the Pasta:

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 16 ounces spaghetti

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups grated Parmesan cheese

For the Topping:

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red sauce: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease, then stir in salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and spaghetti sauce. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Sprinkle in flour and whisk continuously for another minute to cook out the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in heavy cream while whisking, ensuring a smooth consistency. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook gently until fully melted and the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble the dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Toss the drained spaghetti with the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated, then spread it into the prepared baking dish. Pour the red sauce over the pasta in an even layer, being careful not to mix the layers.
  5. Bake to perfection: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the dish. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown. Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow the layers to set.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with sautéed mushrooms or crumbled plant-based meat.
  • To add extra protein, mix in shredded rotisserie chicken instead of ground beef.
  • If you like spice, add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the red sauce.
  • Shred your own mozzarella for the best melt—pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that affect texture.
