- 1 loaf French bread, sliced
- 3/4 cup spreadable butter, divided
- 1 lb. oven-roasted turkey breast
- 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
- Honey mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a griddle or panini press while you prepare your ingredients.
- Slice the French bread into even slices and spread one tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice.
- Place the bread on the panini press, butter side down.
- Optional: Spread honey mustard on each slice of bread.
- Layer the turkey, apple slices, and cheese on one slice of bread.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up, and press the sandwich in the panini press for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.
- Remove the sandwich from the press, cut into halves, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to use any variety of apple, such as Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji, for the sandwich.
- If you prefer a stronger mustard flavor, add extra honey mustard or try Dijon mustard for a tangy alternative.
- The sandwich can also be made with gluten-free bread if necessary.
