Description

Warm Crack Chicken Dip is a creamy, cheesy baked appetizer loaded with tender chicken, crispy bacon, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and melted cheddar cheese. Perfect for game day, potlucks, and holiday gatherings, this rich and savory dip is easy to make ahead and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • 1 oz ranch dressing mix (1 packet)
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the 8 oz softened cream cheese and 16 oz sour cream. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
  3. Add 2 cups cooked chicken, 1 oz ranch dressing mix, 1 cup chopped cooked bacon, and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges and lightly golden on top.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for added flavor and convenience.
  • For a lighter version, substitute low-fat cream cheese and light sour cream.
  • Turkey bacon can be used instead of regular bacon to reduce fat.
  • Prepare the dip up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate before baking; add 5 extra minutes to the bake time if chilled.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
