Description

Zucchini Cheddar Cheese Herb Beer Bread is a savory, easy-to-make quick bread that combines the freshness of zucchini, sharp cheddar cheese, and a touch of beer for a moist and flavorful loaf. With just a few simple ingredients and no mixer required, this bread is the perfect addition to any meal or a tasty snack on its own.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 3/4 cup Grated Zucchini
  • 3 tablespoons Chopped Chives
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 12 ounces Beer (preferably IPA)
  • 3 tablespoons Butter (melted, plus more for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9″ x 5″ x 3″ loaf pan with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated garlic until combined.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese, zucchini, and chives.
  4. Drizzle honey over the mixture and add the beer, then stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-70 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before running a knife along the edges to release it. Let it cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • If you prefer a lighter taste, use a lighter beer like a pilsner or lager.
  • You can freeze slices of this bread for up to 3 months and reheat them when needed.
  • Be sure to grate the zucchini finely to avoid excess moisture in the bread.
