Description

This 4th of July Trifle is a festive no-bake dessert layered with fluffy angel food cake, creamy white chocolate pudding, whipped topping, fresh strawberries, and blueberries. Perfect for summer barbecues, patriotic parties, and family gatherings, this refreshing dessert is easy to make and beautifully colorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14 ounces) angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 boxes (3.4 ounces each) instant white chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold whole milk
  • 2 containers (8 ounces each) whipped topping, thawed
  • 32 ounces fresh strawberries, washed, dried, and sliced
  • 18 ounces fresh blueberries, washed and dried

Instructions

  1. Cut the angel food cake into 1-inch cubes and prepare the strawberries and blueberries by washing and drying them thoroughly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant white chocolate pudding mix and cold whole milk until smooth and thickened. Refrigerate until set.
  3. Place a layer of angel food cake cubes into the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
  4. Spoon half of the prepared pudding over the cake layer and spread evenly.
  5. Arrange sliced strawberries around the edges of the bowl, then add a layer of strawberries over the pudding.
  6. Add a layer of blueberries over the strawberries.
  7. Spread one container of whipped topping evenly over the berry layer.
  8. Repeat the layers with remaining cake cubes, pudding, strawberries, and blueberries.
  9. Top the trifle with the remaining whipped topping and garnish with extra strawberries and blueberries.
  10. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the layers to set properly.

Notes

  • Dry the berries thoroughly before assembling to prevent excess moisture.
  • For best texture, serve the trifle within 24 hours of making it.
  • Use a clear glass bowl to showcase the colorful patriotic layers.
  • You can substitute vanilla or cheesecake pudding for a different flavor variation.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
