Description

Air Fried Apple Wedges are a quick and delicious dessert made with tender apple slices coated in cinnamon sugar and served with a creamy caramel whipped dip. This easy air fryer recipe delivers warm, comforting flavors with a lightly crisp texture in just minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium Gala apples (about 300g), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons (36g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • 4 oz (120g) whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples into evenly sized 1/4-inch wedges.
  2. Place the apple wedges in a bowl and toss with melted butter and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  5. Cook for 5–7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until apples are tender and slightly crisp on the edges.
  6. In a small bowl, mix sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  7. Immediately toss the hot apple wedges in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated.
  8. In another bowl, gently fold caramel sauce into whipped cream until light and fluffy.
  9. Chill the caramel whipped cream for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve the warm apple wedges with the chilled caramel dip.

Notes

  • Use firm apple varieties like Honeycrisp or Fuji for best texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of your apples.
  • For extra crispiness, cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
