Description

These Air Fryer Pasta Chips are crispy, savory, and easy to make in just 20 minutes. Made with simple ingredients like pasta, olive oil, and parmesan cheese, they offer a healthy, customizable snack or appetizer. You can use any type of pasta, including gluten-free or protein options, and they are ready to serve in no time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rigatoni or farfalle (bow-tie), regular, whole wheat, chickpea, or gluten-free
  • 1 – 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the rigatoni or preferred pasta shape al dente according to package instructions. Strain the pasta and add it to a mixing bowl.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F.
  3. Toss the cooked pasta with olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and parmesan cheese until the pasta is evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the seasoned pasta to the preheated air fryer basket. Cook for 10–14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through (around 6 minutes), until golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on the pasta shape.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan and fresh parsley, if desired. Enjoy as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.

Notes

  • Always boil the pasta before air frying to ensure it crisps up properly.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pasta of your choice.
  • Different pasta shapes require different cooking times, so adjust accordingly.
  • For a vegan version, omit the parmesan and use nutritional yeast.
  • Shake the air fryer basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Re-crisp in the air fryer if desired.
