- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (about 8 peaches)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for batter)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for batter)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cornstarch, and nutmeg.
- Add sliced peaches to the mixture and stir until evenly coated. Set aside.
- Pour melted butter into a baking dish and spread evenly.
- In another bowl, combine Bisquick mix, milk, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
- Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter, including the juices.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm peaches for best texture and flavor.
- Canned peaches can be used if drained היט well.
- Do not stir the layers after adding the batter and peaches.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly to allow the filling to thicken.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
