Description

Brazilian Mounjaro is a refreshing and vibrant drink made from Butterfly Pea Flowers, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice. This color-changing beverage offers numerous health benefits, including supporting digestion, boosting metabolism, and aiding in weight loss. With just a few ingredients, it’s easy to prepare and can be enjoyed hot or iced. Perfect for a morning energy boost or a refreshing drink throughout the day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup chilled butterfly pea flower tea
  • 1 tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 500 ml of water in a saucepan.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add 2 tablespoons of dried butterfly pea flowers and remove from heat.
  3. Let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes to extract the color and flavor.
  4. Strain the mixture (optional) to remove the flowers, or leave them in for a rustic presentation.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the steeped tea.
  6. Stir well and watch the color change from blue to purple.
  7. Serve hot for a warm beverage or cool it down and serve over ice for a refreshing cold drink.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the amount of honey based on personal preference.
  • For a tangier drink, you can add more apple cider vinegar.
  • Serve in a clear glass to highlight the color-changing effect.
  • If you prefer a stronger flavor, let the butterfly pea flowers steep a little longer.
