Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, salt, and chili powder until smooth.
- Spread a small amount of the ketchup glaze mixture onto the bottom of the prepared loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crushed croutons, chopped onion, eggs, milk, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined without overmixing.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it into the prepared pan.
- Spread the remaining ketchup glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until the center reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
