Description

This no-bake Chocolate Orange Cheesecake is a decadent dessert combining the flavors of chocolate orange biscuits, mascarpone, and a creamy chocolate filling. Perfect for any occasion, it offers a rich, indulgent experience that’s easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Orange Biscuits – 230g (8oz)
  • Unsalted Butter – 5 tbsp (65g), melted
  • Chocolate Orange Bar – 200g (7oz) or 1 ¼ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Golden Syrup – 5 tbsp
  • Mascarpone Cheese – 500g (2 cups)
  • Double Cream (Heavy Cream) – 240ml (1 cup)
  • Orange Zest – 1 orange (optional)
  • Butter – 2 tbsp (for topping)
  • Terry’s Chocolate Orange Segments (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Lightly mist a 20cm (8-inch) loose-bottomed tin with cake release spray and line the bottom and sides with baking paper.
  2. Blitz the chocolate orange biscuits in a food processor until finely ground. Mix with melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture into the prepared tin to form a base. Chill in the fridge or freezer while preparing the filling.
  4. Break the chocolate orange bar into small pieces and add to a heatproof bowl with golden syrup. Set the bowl over simmering water and melt until smooth.
  5. Put the mascarpone and half the double cream into a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Add the melted chocolate and remaining cream and beat until the mixture holds soft peaks.
  6. Spoon the filling over the chilled biscuit base and level the top. Chill the cheesecake in the fridge for 4-5 hours or overnight to set.
  7. Melt the topping chocolate and butter in the same method as before. Allow it to cool slightly before drizzling it over the cheesecake.
  8. Decorate with Terry’s Chocolate Orange segments and orange zest strips. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure mascarpone cheese is at room temperature before mixing for a smoother filling.
  • Chill the cheesecake for at least 6 hours for the best texture.
  • You can use other chocolate orange brands or dark chocolate with orange extract as substitutes.
  • Use a sharp knife to slice the cheesecake for neat pieces, dipping it in hot water between slices.
