Description

Cool Whip Candy is an easy no-bake holiday treat made with white chocolate chips, fluffy whipped topping, vanilla almond bark, and festive sprinkles. These bite-sized candies have a creamy, nougat-like center and a smooth chocolate coating, making them perfect for Christmas parties, dessert trays, and homemade gifts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 ounces white chocolate chips (about 4 cups)
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons red and green sprinkles, plus extra for decorating (optional)
  • 1 pound vanilla almond bark

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Place the white chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Let the melted chocolate cool for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Add the thawed Cool Whip and 2 tablespoons of sprinkles to the melted chocolate. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight, until the candy mixture is firm.
  7. Remove the chilled candy from the dish and cut it into approximately 36 pieces using a large, sharp knife.
  8. Place the vanilla almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20–30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
  9. Dip a few candy pieces at a time into the melted almond bark. Use two forks to coat each piece, allowing excess coating to drip back into the bowl.
  10. Transfer the coated candies to a wire cooling rack set over a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  11. Immediately decorate each piece with additional red and green sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  12. Let the coating cool and harden completely. Carefully remove the candies with a metal spatula and transfer them to a serving dish or airtight container.

Notes

  • Use fully thawed whipped topping for a smooth, evenly mixed candy center.
  • Allow the melted white chocolate to cool slightly before adding the Cool Whip.
  • Chill the mixture thoroughly before cutting to make handling easier.
  • The candy center will be sticky, so the pieces may not have perfectly straight edges.
  • Work quickly when dipping the candies because almond bark hardens as it cools. Melt it in batches if needed.
  • Sprinkles are optional and can be changed to match different holidays or celebrations.
  • Milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips can replace white chocolate chips for a different flavor. Chocolate almond bark can replace vanilla almond bark.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days in a cool environment or refrigerate for up to 7 days.
