Description
Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs are an easy, flavorful, and family-friendly dinner recipe. With a crackly golden skin and juicy, tender meat, this oven-baked dish uses simple pantry ingredients and a one-pan method to deliver maximum flavor with minimal effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 pounds chicken thighs (about 6-8 pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil and set aside.
- Remove the chicken thighs from packaging and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
- Place the chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and rub to evenly coat.
- In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over the chicken thighs, ensuring full coverage.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs for the best flavor and texture.
- To ensure crispy skin, always pat the chicken dry before seasoning.
- Don’t flip or move the chicken during baking to keep the skin crisp.
- Leftovers reheat best in the oven at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
- Boneless thighs may be used; reduce baking time by about 10 minutes.
