Description
Crispy Garlic Parmesan Roasted Green Beans are a simple yet flavorful side dish, featuring fresh green beans tossed with garlic, parmesan, and spices, then roasted to crispy perfection. These beans are savory, cheesy, and a perfect complement to any meal, requiring minimal prep and cook time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 – 1½ lbs. Green Beans
- 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil (or Olive Oil)
- 6 large Garlic Cloves, minced
- ¼ cup Grated Parmesan
- ¼ tsp Salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- Lemon (Optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking pan with parchment paper.
- Trim both ends off your green beans and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the green beans, oil, garlic, parmesan, salt, and pepper to the bowl and toss until fully coated.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking pan. It’s okay if a few beans are overlapping.
- Roast in the oven for 15–20 minutes or until golden and crispy, checking for doneness around 10–12 minutes.
- Once roasted, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the beans, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Be sure to trim the ends of the green beans before roasting to prevent them from becoming tough.
- If using frozen green beans, there’s no need to thaw them. They may need a slightly longer roasting time.
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix.
- Store leftover roasted green beans in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
