Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning, divided
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, grated Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning. Mash and mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Transfer the cheese mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper. Shape it into a ball, wrapping it securely to help maintain its shape.
- Refrigerate the wrapped cheese ball for approximately 2 hours, or until firm.
- Pour the remaining 2 tablespoons of everything bagel seasoning onto a plate. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and gently roll it in the seasoning until evenly coated.
- Transfer to a serving plate and serve with crackers, sliced vegetables, pretzels, or bagel chips. Alternatively, refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use softened, block-style cream cheese for a smooth and creamy texture.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese provides the best flavor and texture.
- Everything bagel seasoning brands vary in saltiness. Taste your seasoning before adding it and reduce the amount if necessary.
- The cheese ball can be prepared up to one week ahead. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- If preparing more than one day ahead, wait until the day of serving to apply the everything bagel seasoning coating to maintain its crunch.
- Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator approximately 15 minutes before serving to make spreading easier.
- Soy sauce or balsamic vinegar can replace Worcestershire sauce if needed.
- Monterey Jack, Swiss, or mozzarella can be substituted for the cheddar or Parmesan.
- For a vegetarian version, use vegetarian Worcestershire sauce or omit it.
