Description

This Flag Fruit Dessert is a refreshing no-bake patriotic dessert made with fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries, and yogurt-covered pretzels arranged to resemble the American flag. Perfect for Fourth of July parties, Memorial Day cookouts, and summer gatherings, this colorful fruit tray is quick, easy, and family-friendly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries, washed
  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries, washed
  • 3 cups yogurt-covered pretzels or white chocolate-covered pretzels
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash all fresh fruit thoroughly under cool running water and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Remove stems from strawberries and slice them into even pieces. Pit the cherries if needed.
  3. Place a small square bowl or section of blueberries in the upper left corner of a large rectangular serving tray.
  4. Create horizontal rows using strawberries, raspberries, and cherries to resemble the red stripes of the American flag.
  5. Alternate each fruit stripe with rows of yogurt-covered pretzels or white chocolate-covered pretzels to form the white stripes.
  6. Continue arranging the rows until the tray resembles a patriotic flag design.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  8. Refrigerate the dessert for 15 to 20 minutes before serving for the freshest taste.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing summer dessert.

Notes

  • Make sure the fruit is completely dry before arranging to prevent excess moisture.
  • Use ripe but firm berries for the best texture and appearance.
  • Assemble shortly before serving to keep pretzels crunchy.
  • White chocolate-covered pretzels can be used instead of yogurt-covered pretzels.
  • Watermelon cubes or red grapes can replace cherries if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
