- 1/4 cup (40g) sprinkles or candy eggs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- To make the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Divide the frosting and mix in pastel food coloring as desired.
- Spread or pipe the frosting over the cooled brownies and decorate with sprinkles or candy eggs.
- Let the frosting set before slicing into squares and serving.
