Description

Frozen Chocolate Banana Pops are a simple, healthy frozen dessert made with ripe bananas, dairy-free chocolate, coconut oil, and colorful sprinkles. These refreshing chocolate-covered banana pops are naturally sweet, easy to make, kid-friendly, and perfect for summer snacking or a healthier dessert option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium bananas, peeled
  • 3/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons sprinkles
  • 4 popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and trim a small slice from the bottom of each banana if needed.
  2. Insert one popsicle stick halfway into each banana.
  3. Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper and arrange the bananas on top.
  4. Freeze the bananas for approximately 2 hours or until completely frozen.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil.
  6. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  7. Remove the frozen bananas from the freezer and dip each banana into the melted chocolate, rotating to coat evenly.
  8. Immediately sprinkle the toppings over the chocolate before it hardens.
  9. Return the coated bananas to the parchment-lined tray.
  10. Freeze for an additional 20 to 30 minutes or until the chocolate shell is fully set.
  11. Serve immediately or store in the freezer until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for the best texture and sweetness.
  • Freeze bananas completely before dipping to help the chocolate set quickly.
  • Add extra coconut oil if the melted chocolate becomes too thick.
  • Try alternative toppings such as chopped nuts, toasted coconut, sesame seeds, or freeze-dried fruit.
  • Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.
  • Separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
