Description

These Fruit Skewers combine fresh strawberries, green grapes, cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese on skewers and are served with a creamy honey-cinnamon yogurt dip. They are colorful, refreshing, easy to prepare, and perfect for parties, potlucks, snacks, or healthy desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 12 fresh strawberries, halved
  • 24 green grapes
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into 24 cubes
  • 4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, cut into 24 cubes
  • 12 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the vanilla yogurt, sour cream, honey, and cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
  2. Wash the strawberries and grapes thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Cut the cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese into evenly sized cubes.
  4. Thread strawberry halves, grapes, and cheese cubes alternately onto each wooden skewer.
  5. Arrange the assembled fruit skewers on a serving platter.
  6. Serve immediately with the yogurt dip or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm fruit for the best texture and presentation.
  • Pat fruit dry before assembling to prevent excess moisture.
  • Fruit skewers can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Try substituting pineapple, kiwi, mango, or watermelon for variety.
  • To prevent browning when using apples or pears, lightly coat them with lemon juice.
  • Serve chilled for the freshest flavor.
