- 4 oz Cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and red gel food coloring. Mix thoroughly until the batter is smooth.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and sea salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
- Roughly chop milk chocolate or use chocolate chips. Stir them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is slightly soft when tested with a toothpick.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing.
- If using cream cheese frosting, beat the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until creamy, then spread over the cooled brownies.
