Description
This whipped Greek yogurt recipe turns plain Greek yogurt into a light, creamy, and airy treat with heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. It is quick to make in just 5 minutes and works beautifully as a high-protein breakfast, snack, dessert, or fruit dip.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup plain whole milk or 2% Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup cold heavy cream or whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt (optional)
Instructions
- Add the Greek yogurt, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and optional salt to a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer.
- Mix on low speed for about 20 seconds, just until the cream begins blending into the Greek yogurt.
- Increase to high speed and whip for 2 minutes until the mixture starts to look lighter and smoother.
- Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula to make sure everything is evenly mixed.
- Continue whipping for 2 to 3 more minutes, or until soft peaks form and the whipped Greek yogurt looks silky and airy.
- Serve immediately, or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Whole milk or 2% Greek yogurt gives the best creamy texture.
- Coconut cream can be used in place of heavy cream in the same 1:1 amount for a dairy-free-style variation, though it adds a slight coconut flavor.
- If you skip the cream, the texture will be thicker and less airy.
- The whipped Greek yogurt thickens slightly after chilling in the refrigerator.
- Serve with fresh berries, sliced fruit, graham crackers, granola, or spoon it into parfaits.
- Do not freeze, as the texture may become watery or grainy after thawing.
