Description

Grilled Peaches are a quick and easy summer dessert made with fresh peaches, olive oil, butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Grilling enhances the natural sweetness of the peaches, creating a warm, caramelized treat that pairs perfectly with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, or whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 firm but ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 scoops vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 375°F to 400°F / 190°C to 205°C).
  2. Wash the peaches, cut them in half, and remove the pits.
  3. Brush the cut side of each peach half with olive oil.
  4. Lightly oil the grill grates if desired to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the peaches cut-side down on the grill and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until tender and marked with grill lines.
  6. While the peaches are grilling, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  7. Stir the granulated sugar and cinnamon into the melted butter until combined.
  8. Remove the peaches from the grill and place them on a serving platter or rimmed baking sheet.
  9. Spoon the cinnamon butter mixture evenly over the warm peaches, allowing it to soak into the fruit.
  10. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Choose peaches that are ripe but still firm for the best grilling results.
  • Nectarines, apricots, or plums can be substituted for peaches.
  • Brown sugar can replace granulated sugar for a richer caramel flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently before serving or enjoy chilled over yogurt or oatmeal.
  • A grill pan can be used if an outdoor grill is unavailable.
