Description

This Halloween Icebox Cake is a no-bake, festive dessert made with layers of Oreo cookies, whipped cream, and vibrant orange shades. It’s perfect for Halloween parties or a sweet treat for the season, offering an easy and impressive dessert that requires no baking!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Orange food coloring gel (recommended)
  • 2 14.5-ounce packages Oreo cookies (approximately 42 cookies)
  • Orange icing, for decoration
  • Halloween sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Line a 9-inch springform pan with plastic wrap or parchment paper, letting it stick about an inch above the pan sides.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar on high until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
  3. Divide the whipped cream equally into 3 bowls. Add varying amounts of orange food coloring to each bowl, mixing gently until fully combined.
  4. Place a layer of Oreo cookies at the bottom of the pan. Fill any gaps with broken Oreo pieces.
  5. Spread one-third of the darkest orange whipped cream over the cookie layer using a spatula to spread it evenly.
  6. Layer more Oreo cookies over the whipped cream, followed by the second whipped cream layer (second orange shade).
  7. Repeat with a final layer of Oreo cookies and the last bowl of whipped cream, spreading evenly.
  8. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Once chilled, remove the cake and decorate with orange icing and Halloween sprinkles before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the whipped cream is stiff enough to hold its layers.
  • Let the cake chill for at least 6 hours or overnight to set.
  • Feel free to customize the decorations with Halloween-themed treats, like candy or edible glitter.
  • Can be made a day in advance for a stress-free party dessert.
