Description

Easy Halloween Oreo Balls are rich, fudgy no-bake Oreo truffles made with crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, dipped in dark chocolate or white vanilla melting wafers, and decorated with Halloween sprinkles and candy eyes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 10 oz dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 10 oz white vanilla melting wafers
  • Halloween sprinkles, for decorating
  • Candy eyeballs, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Add the Oreo cookies to a food processor and process until they become very fine crumbs.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese and pulse until combined. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and use a rubber spatula to mix any remaining crumbs or cream cheese into a smooth mixture.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a cookie scoop to portion the Oreo mixture, then roll each portion between your hands to form a smooth ball.
  4. Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator or freezer for 30 minutes, or until firm enough to dip.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate wafers according to the package directions until smooth. Dip half of the chilled Oreo balls into the dark chocolate and immediately decorate with Halloween sprinkles.
  6. Melt the white vanilla wafers until smooth. Dip the remaining Oreo balls into the white coating and immediately decorate with Halloween sprinkles and candy eyeballs.
  7. Return the decorated Halloween Oreo Balls to the refrigerator and chill until the coating is completely firm.
  8. Transfer the finished Oreo balls to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Crush the Oreo cookies into very fine crumbs for the smoothest truffle filling.
  • Use softened cream cheese so it combines evenly with the Oreo crumbs.
  • Chill the shaped Oreo balls for about 30 minutes before dipping to prevent them from falling apart.
  • Melt and use one type of coating at a time because melting wafers can thicken as they cool.
  • Add sprinkles and candy eyes immediately after dipping so they stick before the coating sets.
  • Store finished Halloween Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • For longer storage, place the Oreo balls in a freezer-safe airtight container and separate stacked layers with parchment or wax paper.
