  • Top with sparkling water or ginger beer: creates a fizzy, festive finish
  • Optional – a splash of apple cider vinegar: adds a sharp, complex bite
  • Optional – a pinch of icing sugar: for a decorative ‘snowy’ effect


Instructions

  1. Clap the mint leaves between your hands to release the oils and place them in a shaker or glass.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and gently muddle the mint to bruise it slightly.
  3. Pour in 0.5 oz lime juice, 1 oz apple cider or juice, and 2 oz cranberry juice.
  4. Add ice to the shaker, secure the lid, and shake well for 15–20 seconds.
  5. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice.
  6. Top with sparkling water, ginger beer, or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
  7. Garnish with mint sprigs, lime wedges, and cranberries. Optionally, dust with icing sugar for decoration.
