Description

Easy Italian sliders made with deli meats, provolone cheese, and a zesty lettuce mixture on soft Hawaiian rolls—perfect for quick, flavorful meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls, cut in half
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 pound hard salami, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 pound pepperoni, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 pound ham, coarsely chopped
  • 8 oz bag shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped banana peppers
  • 1/4 cup dill relish
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for lettuce mix)
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and prepare a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix shredded lettuce, diced red onion, chopped banana peppers, dill relish, mayonnaise, and Italian dressing. Chill in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped salami, pepperoni, and ham. Stir constantly for 3–5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls in the baking dish. Spread 1/3 cup mayonnaise over them and bake for 8 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, add provolone cheese slices over the warm rolls, then top with the cooked meat mixture. Add the top halves of the rolls.
  6. Mix melted butter with garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, carefully lift the top buns, spread the chilled lettuce mixture over the meat, and replace the top buns. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use pre-sliced or chopped ingredients to save prep time.
  • Chilling the lettuce mixture enhances flavor and texture.
  • If buns brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil during baking.
  • Use a serrated knife for clean cuts when serving sliders.
  • Store meat and lettuce mixtures separately to prevent soggy leftovers.
