Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Hawaiian rolls, cut in half
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 12 slices provolone cheese
- 1/2 pound hard salami, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 pound pepperoni, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 pound ham, coarsely chopped
- 8 oz bag shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup chopped banana peppers
- 1/4 cup dill relish
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for lettuce mix)
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and prepare a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix shredded lettuce, diced red onion, chopped banana peppers, dill relish, mayonnaise, and Italian dressing. Chill in the refrigerator.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped salami, pepperoni, and ham. Stir constantly for 3–5 minutes until heated through.
- Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls in the baking dish. Spread 1/3 cup mayonnaise over them and bake for 8 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, add provolone cheese slices over the warm rolls, then top with the cooked meat mixture. Add the top halves of the rolls.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, carefully lift the top buns, spread the chilled lettuce mixture over the meat, and replace the top buns. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use pre-sliced or chopped ingredients to save prep time.
- Chilling the lettuce mixture enhances flavor and texture.
- If buns brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil during baking.
- Use a serrated knife for clean cuts when serving sliders.
- Store meat and lettuce mixtures separately to prevent soggy leftovers.
