Description

Lucky Charms Oreo Truffles are easy no-bake dessert bites made with crushed Golden Oreos, Lucky Charms cereal, and cream cheese, then coated in white chocolate and topped with colorful marshmallows. These festive truffles are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, parties, and holiday dessert trays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15.25 oz) package Golden Oreos, finely crushed
  • 1 cup Lucky Charms cereal, coarsely chopped (extra marshmallows preferred)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 oz vanilla almond bark or white chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup Lucky Charms marshmallows, crushed (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place the 15.25 oz Golden Oreos in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
  2. Add 1 cup Lucky Charms cereal and pulse briefly until coarsely chopped but not powdered.
  3. Transfer the crumbs to a large mixing bowl and add 8 oz softened cream cheese. Mix until a smooth, uniform dough forms.
  4. Scoop 1–2 tablespoon portions of the mixture and roll into smooth balls using your hands.
  5. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes or freeze for 15–20 minutes until firm.
  6. Melt 12 oz vanilla almond bark or white chocolate according to package instructions until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted coating, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing back onto the parchment paper.
  8. Immediately sprinkle crushed Lucky Charms marshmallows on top before the coating sets.
  9. Allow the truffles to set completely at room temperature or refrigerate until firm before serving.

Notes

  • Use regular Golden Oreos, not double stuffed, to prevent the mixture from becoming too soft.
  • Chill the truffles thoroughly before dipping for easier handling.
  • Work in small batches to keep the truffles cold while dipping.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze for up to 2 months and thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
