Description

Millionaire Candy is a rich and indulgent homemade treat made with gooey caramel, toasted pecans, and a smooth milk chocolate coating. These bite-sized chocolate caramel pecan clusters are easy to prepare and perfect for gifting, holidays, or satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 55 caramel candies (about 22 oz): provides the chewy, buttery base
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk: helps melt the caramel smoothly
  • 2 cups pecans, toasted and chopped: adds crunch and nutty flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon flake sea salt: enhances sweetness and balances flavor
  • 2 cups milk chocolate melting wafers: creates a smooth chocolate coating
  • Extra flake sea salt for garnish (optional): adds a gourmet finish

Instructions

  1. Line two baking trays with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Fill a pot with about 1 inch of water and bring to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl over the pot, ensuring it does not touch the water.
  3. Add caramel candies and whole milk to the bowl. Stir continuously for about 10 minutes until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in chopped pecans and flake sea salt until evenly combined.
  5. Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture into small mounds onto the prepared trays. Let them sit briefly to firm up.
  6. In a clean bowl over simmering water, melt the milk chocolate wafers, stirring occasionally for 3โ€“5 minutes until smooth.
  7. Dip each caramel pecan mound into the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring full coating.
  8. Place coated clusters back onto the parchment-lined tray and sprinkle with additional sea salt if desired.
  9. Refrigerate for 10โ€“15 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.
  10. Store in an airtight container with parchment between layers and enjoy.

Notes

  • Toast pecans beforehand to enhance their flavor and crunch.
  • Stir caramel constantly while melting to avoid burning.
  • If caramel becomes too soft, chill briefly before dipping in chocolate.
  • Use high-quality chocolate wafers for a smooth finish.
  • Store candies in a cool place to prevent melting.
  • Separate layers with parchment paper to avoid sticking.
