Description

Mulberry Mojitos are refreshing summer cocktails made with fresh mulberries, mint leaves, lime wedges, rum, and sparkling club soda. This fruity twist on the classic mojito is light, fizzy, naturally sweet, and perfect for warm-weather entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1/4 cup fresh mulberries
  • 1 shot (1.5 oz) white rum
  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Extra mint sprigs for garnish
  • Extra lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the white sugar and fresh mint leaves to a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker. Gently muddle until the mint releases its oils and combines with the sugar.
  2. Add the lime wedges and muddle again to release the lime juice and fragrant citrus oils.
  3. Add the fresh mulberries and continue muddling until the berries break down and release their juices.
  4. Pour in the white rum and stir to combine the muddled ingredients.
  5. Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with club soda.
  6. Stir gently until everything is evenly mixed.
  7. Garnish with extra mint sprigs and lime wedges before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe mulberries for the sweetest flavor and richest color.
  • Do not over-muddle the mint leaves to avoid bitterness.
  • Blackberries, blueberries, or raspberries can replace mulberries.
  • Club soda keeps the drink light, while lemon-lime soda makes it sweeter.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and use extra sparkling water.
  • Serve immediately for the freshest flavor and fizz.
