Description

This No-Bake Apple Pie is an easy chilled dessert made with tender cinnamon-spiced apples, creamy vanilla pudding filling, and a buttery graham cracker crust. It delivers classic apple pie flavor without using an oven, making it perfect for holidays, family gatherings, and warm-weather occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced: Provides the sweet fruity filling and classic apple pie flavor.
  • 2 cups water: Helps cook the apples and create the filling consistency.
  • 1 package lemon Jell-O mix: Adds citrus flavor and helps the filling set.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon: Adds warm spice and traditional apple pie aroma.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg: Enhances the depth of flavor.
  • 1 package cook and serve vanilla pudding mix: Creates a creamy and thick filling texture.
  • 1 graham cracker crust (9-inch): Provides a buttery base for the pie.
  • Cinnamon graham crackers, crushed: Adds extra cinnamon flavor and a crunchy topping.

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples to prepare them for cooking.
  2. Add the sliced apples, 1 3/4 cups water, lemon Jell-O mix, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 4 to 6 minutes until the apples become tender.
  4. Stir in the vanilla pudding mix and remaining water, cooking for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly until the filling thickens.
  5. Pour the warm apple filling into the graham cracker crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Allow the pie to cool at room temperature, then cover and refrigerate overnight until fully set.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle crushed cinnamon graham crackers on top and add whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Allow enough chilling time so the filling sets properly and slices cleanly.
  • Use apples that hold their shape after cooking for the best texture.
  • Do not overcook the apples because they should remain tender instead of becoming applesauce.
  • Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for the best freshness.
  • Add whipped cream, caramel sauce, or chopped nuts for extra flavor and texture.
