Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup (240ml) marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups (180g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 16 slices pepperoni (about 60g)
- 1/4 cup (30g) sliced olives
- 1/2 cup (75g) sliced bell peppers
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- While the patties cook, slice and toast the hamburger buns until lightly golden.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce onto each patty, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Add pepperoni slices, olives, and bell peppers on top of each patty.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Place each patty on a toasted bun, assemble, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Avoid overmixing the beef to keep the patties tender and juicy.
- Use freshly shredded mozzarella for better melting and texture.
- Toast the buns to prevent them from becoming soggy.
- You can substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter option.
- Adjust toppings based on preference, such as adding mushrooms or jalapeños.
