Description

This Orange Gelatin Salad is a creamy, citrusy, no-bake classic that combines orange-flavored gelatin, cottage cheese, whipped topping, and fruit for a light and refreshing dish. Perfect for potlucks, family dinners, and holiday spreads, it’s quick to prepare and loved by all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3-ounce) package orange-flavored gelatin powder
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the dry orange gelatin powder. Do not prepare it with water.
  2. Add the cottage cheese to the gelatin powder and mix until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the drained crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges.
  4. Add the thawed whipped topping and fold gently until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not prepare the gelatin with water. Use it dry for the correct consistency.
  • Ensure all canned fruit is thoroughly drained to prevent a watery salad.
