Description

This Oreo Ice Cream Cake is a rich and creamy no-bake dessert made with layers of crunchy Oreo cookie crust, smooth vanilla and chocolate ice cream, fluffy whipped topping, and chocolate syrup. Perfect for birthdays, summer gatherings, and family celebrations, this frozen dessert is easy to prepare ahead of time and delivers classic cookies-and-cream flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14.3 oz Oreo cookies, divided
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1/2 gallon chocolate ice cream, softened
  • 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup crushed Oreo cookies for garnish (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sprinkles for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place half of the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl and stir in the melted butter until evenly combined.
  2. Press the Oreo crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form an even crust. Freeze for 10 minutes to set.
  3. Spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the chilled Oreo crust. Smooth the top with a spatula and freeze for 20 minutes.
  4. Spread the softened chocolate ice cream evenly over the vanilla layer. Return the dish to the freezer for another 20 minutes.
  5. Spread the whipped topping evenly across the top of the cake. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely firm.
  6. Before serving, drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and garnish with crushed Oreos or sprinkles if desired.
  7. Slice using a warm knife for clean cuts and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Allow the ice cream to soften slightly before spreading for smoother layers.
  • Freeze between layers to keep the dessert neat and prevent mixing.
  • Store leftovers tightly covered in the freezer for up to 7 days.
  • Dip a knife in warm water before slicing for cleaner presentation.
  • You can customize the recipe using cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, or peanut butter ice cream.
