Description

Parmesan Grilled Corn on the Cob is a quick and flavorful summer side dish made with fresh corn, melted butter, garlic, salt, and grated parmesan cheese. Grilled until tender and lightly charred, then brushed with garlic butter and topped with parmesan, this easy recipe pairs perfectly with grilled meats, seafood, burgers, and barbecue favorites.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 ears fresh corn on the cob, husks and silk removed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • Nonstick cooking spray, as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F to 450°F) and lightly spray the grill grates with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Remove the husks and silk from the corn and rinse thoroughly. Pat dry before grilling.
  3. Place the corn directly on the grill grates and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, turning every 2 to 3 minutes until tender and lightly charred.
  4. While the corn cooks, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and salt in a small bowl and stir well.
  5. Remove the grilled corn from the grill and immediately brush each ear generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the hot corn.
  7. Season with black pepper if desired and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh sweet corn for the best flavor and texture.
  • Turn the corn frequently to ensure even cooking and prevent burning.
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese provides the best taste and melts slightly on the hot corn.
  • Garlic powder can be substituted for minced garlic if needed.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Leftover corn kernels can be cut from the cob and added to salads, soups, pasta dishes, or tacos.
