- 8 bamboo or wooden skewers (soaked in water for 20 minutes)
Instructions
- Soak the skewers in water for about 20 minutes to prevent burning in the oven.
- Grease a flat surface with 2 tbsp of olive oil.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle using your hands or a rolling pin.
- Cut the dough into two equal halves lengthwise.
- Spread tomato paste on one half of the dough and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Place the second half of the dough on top, pressing gently to seal it like a sandwich.
- Cut the dough into 5 long strips.
- Fold each strip in a zig-zag motion to create a tree-like shape.
- Insert a skewer through the center of each folded pizza strip.
- Place the pizza trees on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
