Description

This homemade pumpkin syrup recipe is a perfect blend of fall flavors, bringing the sweetness of pumpkin puree and warm spices together in a delicious syrup. Ideal for drizzling over pancakes, mixing into coffee, or using as a sweetener for desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and water. Stir well until fully mixed.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The syrup should thicken and coat the back of a spoon.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to a mason jar or sealable container for storage.
  5. Once cooled completely, store the syrup in the refrigerator.
  6. Use the syrup in lattes, over pancakes, or in your favorite fall desserts.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker syrup, let it simmer a little longer.
  • Stir frequently to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.
  • Store the syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks.
