- 16 ounces mascarpone cheese: Creates a creamy and traditional tiramisu texture.
- 1 cup heavy cream: Provides a light and fluffy consistency when whipped.
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar: Sweetens the mascarpone mixture.
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract: Enhances the overall dessert flavor.
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice: Adds warm cinnamon, nutmeg, and seasonal spice notes.
- 2 cups strong brewed espresso or coffee: Creates the classic coffee-soaked tiramisu layer.
- 24 ladyfingers: Form the soft, layered base of the dessert.
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder: Adds a chocolate finish and balances sweetness.
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon: Provides extra warmth and aroma.
Instructions
- Prepare the espresso or strong coffee and allow it to cool completely before using.
- Combine pumpkin puree, mascarpone cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Whip the heavy cream until fluffy, then gently fold it into the pumpkin mascarpone mixture to create a light filling.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, making sure not to oversoak them.
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish, then spread a layer of pumpkin mascarpone cream over them.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the pumpkin cream layer on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to blend.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and cinnamon for a finishing touch.
Notes
- Use room-temperature mascarpone for a smoother filling.
- Do not soak ladyfingers too long or they may become too soft.
- Prepare this dessert one day ahead for the best flavor and texture.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.
- For a coffee-free version, replace espresso with chai tea or spiced milk.
