Description

Raspberry Pretzel Salad is a classic layered dessert featuring a crunchy buttery pretzel crust, a rich and creamy cream cheese filling, and a refreshing raspberry gelatin topping loaded with raspberries. This sweet and salty dessert is perfect for holidays, potlucks, summer gatherings, and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 (3-ounce) boxes raspberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 12 ounces frozen raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the pretzels into coarse crumbs and combine them with 3 tablespoons sugar and melted butter.
  2. Press the pretzel mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow the crust to cool completely.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  5. Spread the creamy filling evenly over the cooled pretzel crust, making sure to seal the edges completely. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. In a separate bowl, dissolve the raspberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  7. Add the frozen raspberries to the gelatin mixture and stir gently.
  8. Allow the raspberry mixture to cool slightly, then carefully pour it over the chilled cream cheese layer.
  9. Refrigerate the dessert for 2 to 3 hours, or until the gelatin layer is fully set.
  10. Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Allow the crust to cool completely before adding the filling to prevent melting.
  • Spread the cream cheese layer fully to the edges to keep the gelatin layer from soaking into the crust.
  • Frozen raspberries help cool the gelatin faster and add extra texture.
  • For best texture, serve within 24 to 48 hours.
  • You can substitute strawberries or mixed berries for a flavor variation.
