Ingredients
- Butter – softened
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract

- Powdered sugar
- Heavy cream or milk
- Salted caramel sauce

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing just until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into balls, flatten slightly, and make a shallow well in the center of each.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft; let cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream or milk and mix until creamy.
- Spoon or pipe cheesecake mixture into the center of each cooled cookie.
- Drizzle with salted caramel sauce and sprinkle sea salt on top if desired.
Notes
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes helps prevent spreading.
- Don’t overmix the dough after adding flour to keep cookies soft.
- Frost cookies only once completely cooled to prevent melting.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
