Description

These Salted Chocolate and Caramel Pretzel Bars are an irresistible blend of sweet and salty flavors. Made with just four simple ingredients, they are perfect for anyone who loves a quick and indulgent treat. The crunchy pretzels provide a satisfying texture, while the smooth caramel and rich chocolate create a perfect harmony of flavors, topped with a sprinkle of sea salt for that extra kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz mini pretzel twists
  • 11 oz Kraft Caramel Bits
  • Flake finishing salt

Instructions

  1. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 8 ounces of chocolate chips in the microwave on low heat, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
  3. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper.
  4. Place the mini pretzel twists on top of the melted chocolate, pressing them gently into the chocolate.
  5. Melt the caramel bits in a microwave-safe bowl with 2 tablespoons of water, heating on high for 2 minutes and stirring until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the melted caramel over the pretzels and chocolate.
  7. Melt the remaining 4 ounces of chocolate chips and drizzle over the caramel layer.
  8. Sprinkle the top with flake salt.
  9. Refrigerate the bars until hardened, about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  10. Once set, cut or tear into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • For best results, use high-quality chocolate chips like Ghirardelli or Baker’s chocolate.
  • If you prefer, you can make the caramel from scratch using butter, sugar, and heavy cream.
  • If you’re looking for a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
