Description

This S’mores Hot Chocolate is a rich and creamy homemade drink inspired by the classic campfire dessert. Made with whole milk, cocoa powder, melted dark chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs, it delivers cozy chocolate flavor in every sip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 10 Ghirardelli dark chocolate wafers
  • 8 mini marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon marshmallow creme
  • 1 graham cracker, crushed into crumbs

Instructions

  1. Place the graham cracker in a ziplock bag and crush it into fine crumbs using a rolling pin or spoon.
  2. Pour the graham cracker crumbs into a shallow dish.
  3. Spread the marshmallow creme around the rim of a large mug.
  4. Dip the mug rim into the graham cracker crumbs until fully coated.
  5. In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate wafers.
  6. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat while whisking continuously until the chocolate melts completely and the hot chocolate becomes smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour the hot chocolate into the prepared mug.
  8. Top with mini marshmallows and lightly toast them with a kitchen torch if desired.
  9. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Use whole milk for the creamiest texture.
  • Whisk continuously to prevent the chocolate from burning.
  • Adjust the sugar based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a richer flavor, add extra dark chocolate wafers.
  • Oat milk can be used as a dairy-free alternative.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
