Description

Steak and Potato Foil Packs are a hearty and flavorful one-packet meal made with juicy sirloin steak, tender Yukon potatoes, sweet corn, and bold seasonings. Perfect for oven baking, grilling, or camping, this easy recipe delivers a complete and satisfying dinner with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb baby Yukon potatoes, quartered
  • 5 mini corn on the cobs, sliced into thirds
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons butter (1 tablespoon per foil pack)
  • 2 tablespoons buttery steak seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 5 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed steak, quartered potatoes, sliced corn, diced onions, and minced garlic.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the mixture and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Add the buttery steak seasoning, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to coat all ingredients.
  5. Lay out 5 sheets of heavy-duty foil on a flat surface.
  6. Divide the mixture evenly among the foil sheets, placing it in the center of each.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon of butter on top of each portion.
  8. Fold and seal each foil pack tightly to lock in moisture and flavor.
  9. Place the foil packs on a baking sheet and transfer to the oven.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and steak is cooked to desired doneness.
  11. Carefully open the foil packs, allowing steam to escape, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Cut steak and potatoes into even sizes for consistent cooking.
  • Seal foil packs tightly to prevent juices from leaking.
  • For a smoky flavor, cook the foil packs on a grill instead of the oven.
  • Open the foil during the last few minutes for slightly crispy edges.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
