Description

Stuffed Cheese Balls are a crispy, golden appetizer with a gooey, melty cheese center. Perfect for parties, snacks, or game nights, these delicious bites are easy to make and packed with bold cheesy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese: provides a rich, creamy base
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese: adds sharp, bold flavor
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese: for gooey stretch and mild taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder: adds savory depth
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder: brings mild umami notes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt: enhances overall flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper: adds a subtle kick
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour: for coating and binding
  • 2 large eggs, beaten: helps breadcrumbs stick
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs: gives a crispy outer layer
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese: adds crunch and salty flavor
  • Oil for frying: high-heat neutral oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls. Place them on a tray and chill for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Roll each chilled cheese ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press lightly to help crumbs stick.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry cheese balls in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden and crispy. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Chill cheese balls before breading to help them hold shape while frying.
  • Double-coating with egg and breadcrumbs makes them extra crispy.
  • Use an air fryer or oven for a healthier cooking method.
  • Great for freezing—bread them and freeze before frying.
