Description

White Christmas Sangria is a festive holiday drink made with crisp white wine, sparkling white grape juice, fresh cranberries, green grapes, Granny Smith apples, and rosemary. This easy Christmas sangria is refreshing, fruity, and perfect for holiday parties. Serve it chilled in stemless wine glasses with beautiful coconut-coated rims for a snowy festive touch. It can also be made non-alcoholic for a family-friendly celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (25 oz) white wine, preferably Pinot Grigio
  • 1 bottle (25 oz) sparkling white grape juice or sparkling apple cider
  • 3/4 cup fresh whole cranberries
  • 1/3 cup fresh cranberries, halved
  • 1/2 cup seedless green grapes, halved
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and chopped
  • 2–3 fresh rosemary sprigs, plus extra for garnish if desired
  • Club soda, to top off the drinks
  • Light corn syrup, for coating the glass rims
  • Coconut flakes, for coating the glass rims

Instructions

  1. Add the white wine, sparkling white grape juice, whole cranberries, halved cranberries, green grapes, chopped Granny Smith apples, and rosemary sprigs to a large pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
  2. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the fruit flavors to infuse into the sangria.
  3. Prepare the serving glasses by pouring light corn syrup into a shallow bowl and coconut flakes into a separate shallow bowl.
  4. Dip the rims of stemless wine glasses into the corn syrup, allowing any excess to drip off, then dip them into the coconut flakes to create a snowy coating.
  5. Pour the chilled sangria into the prepared glasses, making sure to include some fruit in each serving.
  6. Garnish with an additional rosemary sprig if desired. Top each glass with a splash of club soda for extra bubbles and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use your favorite white wine; Pinot Grigio is an excellent choice.
  • For a less-sweet sangria, use additional white wine, up to 2 bottles, while keeping the other ingredients the same.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the white wine with another bottle of sparkling white grape juice or sparkling apple cider.
  • Refrigerate the sangria for at least 4 hours before serving for the best flavor.
  • Add club soda just before serving to preserve the carbonation.
  • Freeze extra grapes, apples, and cranberries to use as ice cubes without diluting the drink.
  • Prepare the coconut-rimmed glasses shortly before serving for the best presentation.
  • Store leftover sangria in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator and enjoy within 1–3 days.
  • This recipe serves approximately 4–6 people and can easily be doubled or tripled for larger gatherings.
